Special Guests:

Erik Åberg (Sweden) will be giving two juggling-related conferences and also will be presenting his acts in the Turbo Show.

Erik Åberg lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden.

His work in juggling is focused on historical research, researching new techniques and new props. He has designed equipment for Renegade Juggling in California and is currently engaged in a research combining origami concepts with wooden sculptures.

He also teaches and writes about circus history with an emphasis on juggling and has spent years searching for traces of the greatest, most important, and forgotten juggler Paul Cinquevalli.

Erik Aberg
Marianna de Sanctis (Italy) will be presenting her hula hoop performance.

Until the age of nineteen, Marianna learned to make excellent coffee and cappuccinos.
One day, she packed her bags to travel the world, and discovered circus! Until this time she had no prior circus training, she had never hula hooped, or even done gymnastics. Despite this total lack of circus skills, she had the opportunity to hula hoop with a friend; Silvia Pavone. With her she learnt to hula hoop in Italy for the first time, but this was for fun and not in a traditional circus. Marianna started to play with the hula hoop, and found that it helped her to release repressed anger.

Later she played with this circular object in various performances on open stages, and she decide to study something beyond the techniques learned from the hula hoop videos she had seen. She went on to study at Flic circus school in Italy, and later in the school of circus Le Lido in France. Having started this skill just for fun, she now works using her own personal style, where the simple turn of hula hoop, is sometimes forgotten in the corner of her brain.

Actually she is a collaborator of Gandini Juggling

Gustaf Rosell (Sweden) will dazzle you with an incredible ball juggling number.

Under to where A simple dude with the fixation of making simple matters seem far more complex. It is a strange urge of perfection, though usually he ends being just misunderstood. Juggling is now a knot that unfolds and regenerates itself through twists and turns in various directions, why make it simple right?

Gustaf started his eight year long education at a preparatory school of Sweden. After he took a trip to Copenhagen where he studied at AFUK for two years. In 2010 he continued his studies at Kiev, finally to end the journey in Toulouse, where he graduated Le Lido in 2013. During his studies he has developed an unique style, a melange of creative juggling, humour and object manipulation. In Under to Where he dives deeper into the concept of clothing.

He has performed at a big variety of places through juggling and circus festivals in theatre venues and circus tents, in countries such as : Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy, Israel etc. He worked with companies as: Les 7 doigts de la main, Poetry in motion and currently Co-founder of the company: Kollectivo Kiekwa.
